LIFE A-MAR NATURA2000 is a project funded by the LIFE Environmental Governance & Information Program aimed at disseminating and promoting good conservation practices in marine Natura 2000 areas through more sustainable management of human activities and the involvement of key stakeholders who benefit from the ecosystem services of these areas.
To achieve the intended results, LIFE A-MAR NATURA2000 activities aim to involve a broad audience of residents, boaters, fishermen, divers, nature guides, conservationists, researchers, managers of protected areas and Natura 2000 Network marine sites. To this end, a sailing campaign was launched in spring 2023 in Italy, touching more than 50 Natura 2000 marine sites, which will then be repeated in 2024 in Spain, touching at least 10 Natura 2000 marine sites.
