At least ten appointments for the public to know and appreciate the Natura 2000 marine sites. Natura 2000 Day, the European day dedicated to the Natura 2000 network is 21 May, but the events organised under the LIFE A-MAR NATURA 2000 project will also take place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19.

The events, which will be published on the Life project website https://lifeamarnatura2000.eu/en/ and Lipu www.lipu.it intend to introduce participants to the beauty of our sea, in particular the biodiversity of the sites of the Natura 2000 network , with the numerous animal and plant species that live and reproduce in them. In the video published on this page Alessandro Polinori, president of Lipu, the project’s partner association, explains what the Natura 2000 network is, its extraordinary numbers and the importance of celebrating the European day dedicated to this great biodiversity protection network, which beyond the mainland it extends to the coasts and into the open sea.
