The objectives of the LIFE A-MAR NATURA 2000 project will be achieved thanks to the work of:

  • The Italian Federation of Parks and Nature Reserves (Federparchi) is a trade association that includes more than 160 entities that manage marine and terrestrial protected areas. Since June 2008, Federparchi has also constituted itself as the Italian section of Europarc Federation, joining an organization that now associates nearly 600 institutions and entities in charge of managing more than 400 protected areas in 38 European countries.
  • Triton Research is an organization, formed by experts and communicators in the field of nature, created with the intent of increasing awareness of the key role of the sea in the functioning of the Planet. Triton’s mission is to share scientific knowledge in the marine field to the whole community, using tools and messages on target with different stakeholders. It also works with institutions, Marine Protected Areas and associations in the context of other Life projects, offering the expertise of specialized staff in project management and institutional communication.
  • Fundación Biodiversidad is a public foundation of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge in Spain that promotes each year more than 400 projects to preserve marine and coastal environments, marine and terrestrial biodiversity, to develop the economy and employment, and to contrast climate change. All by involving all stakeholders. FB has managed 11 projects related to biodiversity conservation, including LIFE+INDEMARES that led to the declaration of 49 Natura 2000 marine network sites in Spain and is currently coordinating LIFE IP INTEMARES focused on the management of these sites.
  • Lipu – Lega Italiana Protezione Uccelli – aims to protect nature, with particular reference to the Natura 2000 network, natural habitats and wild birds, which are its most direct ecological indicators. In Italy it manages specific projects for this purpose, creates and manages nature reserves, and organizes education and awareness campaigns. As a partner of BirdLife International, Lipu has identified terrestrial and marine IBAs in Italy, which are the scientific reference for the designation of SPAs in the EU.
