Fondali Arma di Taggia – Punta S. Martino

The site is divided into three sub-sites, with the westernmost one being the largest and best preserved, although there are traces of human activity and degradation, especially in front of San Remo.
In this sub-site, the Posidonia meadow, a priority habitat which borders with that of Cymodocea, is in good conservation condition.
However, in the other two sub-sites, the habitats are more degraded due to anthropogenic pressure, particularly in front of the Armea River, where Posidonia is highly degraded, with areas of dead matte and mosaic.
Furthermore, the site hosts the Pinna nobilis, a vulnerable and threatened species in Liguria.
