Capo S. Giovanni

The site has a flat morphology while the area closes to the sea overlooks it through a rocky promontory. The emerged portion of the site is characterized by high steepness and the rocky nature of the outcropping rocks. It is a station with significant steppe features and thermoxerophilic flora. The coast is characterized by the presence of nesting sites for the loggerhead turtle. The site also includes the marine area in front of the beach where there are patches and tufts of Posidonia oceanica and where it is possible to spot some of the cetaceans present in the Mediterranean.
