To achieve the expected results, the activities of LIFE A-MAR NATURA2000 aim to engage a broad audience, including residents, boaters, fishermen, divers, nature guides, environmentalists, researchers, managers of protected areas, and marine sites within the Natura 2000 network. To this end, a sailing campaign was launched in Italy in the spring of 2023, covering more than 50 Natura 2000 marine sites, and it will be repeated in 2024 in Spain, touching at least 10 Natura 2000 marine sites. Visits to the sites were accompanied by special days dedicated to outreach, including press events, participatory meetings, guided nature tours, involving local residents, tourists, guides, industry experts, stakeholders, participating in activities dedicated to storytelling about marine ecosystems and their wonders.
