Federparchi: Life A-MAR concludes its activities with the Cinque Terre National Park
On March 18, a summary of the B3 capacity building actions. Final event of the entire project will take place on March 25.
The actions of the LIFE A-MAR NATURA2000 project with the Cinque Terre National Park have been completed, in particular Action B.3 “Training and capacity building for Natura 2000 marine site managers and stakeholders,” designed to strengthen skills, tools, and collaboration between those who manage and those who live daily in the marine sites of the Natura 2000 network.
On March 3 and 4, two meetings were held, the first dedicated to meeting with guides and environmental educators to share rules and best practices for managing RN2000 marine sites and integrating the contents of the LIFE A-MAR project into communication with visitors.
The second meeting, held on March 4, took place with park operators and was dedicated to communication on NATURA2000 marine sites, with a focus on “minor issues.” The results of the survey on the perception of the project in the areas concerned were presented. This was followed by a focus on environmental communication, with an in-depth analysis of the contexts and languages for effective communication, particularly with regard to the promotion of small stories. Finally, a review was carried out on the implementation of social media and their communication potential tailored to the needs of the project.
The Life A-MAR NATURA2000 activities continue with the meeting on March 17, which will be dedicated to the new standard forms for RN2000 marine sites, and on March 18, with a summary of the B3 capacity building actions. The final event of the entire project will take place on March 25.
