This call aims to select “Good Practices” that promote sustainable management of fish resources, sustainable tourism, and environmental education within Natura 2000 <\/em>sites with priority to sites that have been affected by the sailing campaign carried out within the LIFE A-MAR NATURA2000 project.<\/p>\n

The “Good Practices” covered by this call must be implemented by companies that fall into the following categories of activities:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Professional fishing companies that, with a view to the sustainable management of fish resources, practice artisanal fishing<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Tourism businesses that practice forms of sustainable tourism<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Companies that deal with environmental education<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Companies, also cooperatives, single or associated, belonging to the sectors described above that operate in Natura 2000 sites in Italy and Spain can participate in the call.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Participation is reserved for Professional fishing enterprises falling within the definition of artisanal fishing and Tourism and environmental education companies, with a curriculum that certifies previous experience for the activities included in the following call.<\/p>\n

    The following prizes will be awarded to the three Italian and three Spanish winning companies, one for each category of activity:<\/p>\n

    1-artisanal fishing enterprise<\/strong>: complete technical work and safety clothing (life jackets and professional oilskins, boots, work gloves, etc.) in recyclable material suitable for the fishing system practiced.<\/p>\n

    2-Sustainable tourism company<\/strong>: n\u00b0 6 technical binoculars suitable for the marine environment and coastal ecosystems for sightings of cetacean birds, etc.;<\/p>\n

    3-Environmental education company<\/strong>: n\u00b0 1 underwater camera equipped with transmission cable and external monitor for viewing marine ecosystems on the boat.<\/p>\n

    The deadline for sending the application form is 24 hours on 30 April 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n
