The Punta de n’Amer area is in the east of the island of Mallorca, in the municipality of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, and includes both marine and terrestrial areas. The marine area extends from the coastline (between Cala Sa Nau and Sa Coma) to the north, south and east, entering the sea at a distance of between 0.6 and 1.9 km. The marine area includes waters with a depth of less than 50 metres. The terrestrial part extends from the area of Cala Sa Nau to the area of Sa Coma, covering the entire peninsula. One of the most striking features is the presence of Posidonia meadows.
