Plataforma-talud marinos del Cabo de la Nao

The marine area is situated in front of the Cape of La Nao, in the Ibiza Channel. It runs parallel to the coastline, stretching from Cullera to Alicante. There is a confluence of Atlantic and Mediterranean waters in this area, with the former flowing from the south and the latter from the north. The area is a suitable habitat for small pelagic fish and is abundant in planktonic organisms.
