Isla de las Palomas

This is a small island located off the Mediterranean coast of the Region of Murcia. Located in front of Fatares beach, near the town of Cartagena. The coastline is predominantly rocky and cliffy. It is the only known colony of Cory’s Shearwater on the coast of the Region of Murcia. It is also home to other species of interest, such as the Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta caretta) and the e Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus).
