This is an area of sandy beach with a gentle slope. The marine area has a high percentage of rocky areas. There are also areas of seagrass meadows, such as Posidonia oceanica and Cymodocea nodosa. A rich community of echinoderms, worms and gorgonians live on these seabeds. These communities have a high level of biodiversity. Grouper, conger eel, needlefish, red mullet and serranidae are among the fish associated with these seabeds. There are also many cephalopods, such as octopus and cuttlefish. Fish such as bream, sea bream and sardines move closer to the surface. The marine reserve is an area rich in fauna and flora and a preferred breeding ground, which will undoubtedly benefit the small-scale fisheries in the area.
