Fondos Marinos de Punta Entinas-Sabinar

This marine area is in the Gulf of Almería, off the coasts of the municipalities of El Ejido and Roquetas de Mar. The bodies of water surrounding these objects are part of the Alboran Sea. The protected marine area is situated within this framework in a purely Mediterranean location. The seabed’s rocky substrates host a thriving seaweed community, primarily dominated by Posidonia oceanica. These meadows are extensive and vary in density throughout the area. The conservation status of the area is excellent.
