Espacio marino de Tabarca-Cabo de Palos

This marine area includes the waters of the continental shelf from Cape Palos to the Bay of Alicante. The area comprises the waters surrounding several small islands, such as Grosa and Hormigas (Murcia), and Tabarca (Alicante). On the coast, there are various types of wetlands or lagoons typically associated with salt marshes, such as the Mar Menor and the salt marshes of San Pedro del Pinatar, Torrevieja-La Mata, and Santa Pola.
