The island of Es Vedrà is a remarkable rocky outcrop, standing at 388 metres high and covering an area of 71 hectares. Adjacent to it is another smaller islet, Es Vedranell, with a height of 104 metres and a surface area of 17 hectares. Es Vedranell is just 825 metres from the coast of Ibiza, and Es Vedrà, which is further out to sea, is 300 metres from the former islet. Es Vedrà has a rugged relief. Es Vedranell, situated on the eastern coast of Es Vedrà, also has a steep terrain, offering impressive views. The relief of these islets and the orientation of their slopes create microclimates. The Vedrà-Vedranell complex has a significant impact on Ibiza’s landscape. Its height makes it visible from many points within the island and from Formentera.
