Caleta de Binillautí

Located in the northeast of Menorca, between Punta de Sa Galera and Morro des Macar, it is a small marine area. Its quality and importance is mainly due to the presence of Posidonia meadows. This habitat is considered a priority habitat under the Habitats Directive. The presence of the Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) in the marine environment can also be highlighted. Additionally, we can also find specimens of relevant birds. These include the Common Kingfisher (Common kingfisher (Alcedo atthis)) and the Little Egret (Egretta garzetta). The main threat to the biodiversity of this area is the anchoring of recreational boats, as this affects benthic assemblages, such as Posidonia oceanica.
