A marine area between Es Escalons and Punta Titina on the south coast of Menorca. The quality and importance of this area is based on the presence of priority habitats. These include Posidonia oceanica meadows and reefs. The area is also frequented by Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), shag (Gulosus aristotelis), Audouin’s Gull (Icthyaetus audouinii) and more rarely by individual Loggerhead Turtles (Caretta caretta). The main threat to this area is unregulated anchoring and excessive boat traffic. The rental of small boats without a licence is an intense commercial activity.
