Coastal area characterized by cliffs that host halophytic and rock vegetation with rare endemic species. Among the reported plant species, a lof ot them are at risk and included in the Regional Red List. There are also numerous endemics, including Limonium calabrum, whose habitat is limited to the southern Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria and a small disjunction on the Ionian coast. Particularly significant is the presence of Chamaerops humilis, which is extremely rare in the rest of the regional territory. It is included in the site with a few individuals which are located in an inaccessible area of the cliff. The included marine area is mainly characterized by Posidonia oceanica on rock and/or mixed with rocky outcrops near the coast. Several cetacean species have been observed in the site.
