The site is characterized by 3 sub-sites. They are remnants of a larger Posidonia meadow which is established on rock or on thick mattes. Along the western sub-site, Posidonia formations are very shallow and close to the coast. Photophilic algae biocoenoses are reported on the hard substrate near the coast. Despite presenting a reasonable state of conservation, recovery interventions are desirable and possible. Occasional sightings of bottlenose dolphins have been reported within the site boundaries.
