Costes del Tarragonès

It is a small coastal area that contains isolated and extremely fragile sites of natural interest. It has many biocenoses: communities of algae, juniper groves along the coast, forests of white pine, among many others. The coastal dunes in this area are home to numerous species of reptiles. There are also many wintering and migratory birds. The invertebrate fauna characteristic of these environments is also found on the sandbanks. In general terms, all the communities that live in this area are extremely fragile and vulnerable. Other elements stand out, such as the Castell de Tamarit. It is of great scenic and cultural interest.
