This is one of the most temperate and one of the driest areas of Mallorca. We find cliffs that are straight and steep. This type of terrain makes it possible to create endorheic basins. These create small, temporary pools of no more than a few square metres. These ponds are of great interest for their fauna and flora, with the presence of invertebrates such as Triops cancriformis, the amphibian Bufo viridis balearica and the endemic water fern Marsilea strigosa. The vegetation in this area consists of a combination of dry crops, predominantly cereal and almond trees, Mediterranean scrubland, and some pine forests.
