A coastal area located in the Granada province, where the predominant morphological unit is the beach, made up of sand. In some stretches, these beaches are characterised by shallow rocky outcrops. These form groups of rocks in the form of islets in the sea. The presence of Posidonia oceanica meadows is particularly important. They are located at the western limit of the habitat’s natural range. It is also important to note the presence of gorgonian-dominated sea beds in areas where the light is attenuated and on rigid substrates.
