Área marina Platja de Tramuntana

This is a marine area located on the northeast coast of Formentera. It borders the coast between Es Picatxo in Punta Prima and Sa Cala. It is worth noting the presence of habitats of priority interest, such as the Posidonia meadows. It is also home to interesting fauna such as the Loggerhead Turtle and Bottlenose Dolphin. Uncontrolled anchoring and excessive shipping traffic are the main threats to this area.
